Here's Angelique with the gift I gave her for Christmas

Francis and Angelique...
Our Inventory Count @ one of the Contractors of Gelmart

We had our last count for the year at one of the contractors of Gelmart in Nasugbu, Batangas. We really had a great time there. Although we are few, it didn't hinder us from enjoying our stay there. Ms. Cora is really cool and funny. I always make fun of Jem. We really had a great time there. I can say that its already part of my career history since its my first time to spend an out of town trip this time of year (last day of the year). I'm happy we finished and no count tags were lost so we went home early. We have time to shop for few pasalubongs on the way home. Here are some of our pics...

Who's this cute guy @ Tagaytay...

I'm wearing a bra!! yikes!!

Jem wearing it the wrong way...

Ms. Cora doesn't seem to know how to wear it so she played safe..

inventory count fever

This christmas season instead of just sleeping and enjoying the long vacation, I'm here waiting for my client bcoz we're going to Bataan for the inventory count. It seems its been a long wait but what da heck. Its better to be early than late. This season, the sgvians are really damn busy waiting for their turn to count. Though we're compensated for the efforts I could still say that its worth it and charge it to experience. Yesterday, I counted at Bicutan. I'm lucky since its near our home...

m3rry cHrI$+m@s

Season's greetings, everyone. Just had a wonderful christmas ever! There's something unique about my christmas this year. To add it all up, I gave presents and never expected something in return. Well, I guess that's the true spirit of giving... Plus, I feel the warmth and joy of sharing christmas with someone special. Anyway, we had our noche buena with the whole family although the kids were already sleeping. That's what I'm really longing for.. I feel incomplete on another angle, maybe because we haven't celebrated mass yet and it was usually before having noche buena. A lil later my cousins will arrive. I'm pretty excited about that. I haven't seen them for a really long time.. I'll share christmas pictures later when i have them all... bye for now!

MFG PaRTY...

The cluster christmas party was held at different places. Mister ECP, Myleen, and myself went to Festival Mall to meet up and together go to Palms Country Club. We had a nice time there... Bowling and the KTV were really cool. The only thing frustrating is the badminton because I didn't have the chance to play. ANd from what I've heard it was billed per head playing... ANyway, we were suddenly hungry so JB, Nelly, Myleen, ECP, and myself went to Big Brothers and ate for awhile... At around 4pm we went to Alabang Country CLub for a basketball game. FInally, we went to MFG's place to finish the christmas party by dinner and lots of surprises. The new staff (including me) gave a hilarious presentation.. Some awards, games, raffle, and the exchange gift. I received "The Brethren" by John Grisham. THanks to Fabel. I went home @ around 11...

Love What You Do, or Do Something Else...

-----------------------------------------------

No one can succeed in any endeavor that they don't like.

If you don't love what you're doing, then don't do it.

Your chances of success are directly proportional

to the degree of pleasure you derive from what you do.

Do something that you have a deep personal interest in.

Do something you'd enjoy spending twelve to fifteen hours a day

working at, and the rest of the time thinking about.

Don't set compensation as your goal.

Find work you like and the compensation will follow.

Work is not your punishment.

It's your reward, your strength and your pleasure.

Real success is achieved when you like what you do.

When your vocation becomes your vacation,

you'll never work another day in your life.

Work is love made visible.

MC4 Christmas Party ~ hI$kuL r3unIoN...

Last Friday, we had a Market Circle-wide Christmas Party. The theme is obviously high schoolish... Anyway, I stayed out late 'til 1:30am since I was vying and expecting to win the cool hot prizes... Unfortunately, I didn't win! And to add with the mysery, we (Maylin, Me-ann, Helen, ECP, and another Me-ann) were stuck in Makati. No taxi cab wouldn't bother bringing us home. The only good thing that happened was the free fare c/o Mister ECP!! I arrived home around 3 in the morning. Next day, I still have to wake up early coz we're gonna have a cluster christmas party!!

untitled

It's quite late already. I thought we (my engagement team w/ pfizer) are going to work all night and sleep in the office. I'm quite happy and at the same time frustrated. The reason for the former is that I could go home a lil early tonight but I'm frustrated because I was looking forward in experiencing overnight at work. Anyway, I dunno but this week's been a hell. A bit of neglegence on my part that resulted into errors in my work. I charge it all to human error. Again, I was confronted by my devious side saying that I am not to be blamed because we all commit mistakes. Anyway, that's sunk cost! Let's move on...

Awhile ago, I withdrawed all of my money from UCPB Ayala Branch via ATM. And guess what happened? The stupid machine didn't give me any money. Shesh... I hate that machine!! Now, I have to suffer bankcruptcy just because the stupid cut-off says that they'll credit the money next Tuesday. How am I gonna survive? ...thanks to Emie coz she'll be lending me that amount. I still have to buy something for my mom. It's her birthday this coming Sunday.

Whew.. It's good to stop for a while from work and reflect on how the day is treating you. It's good to have a blog... At least I have somebody to relate this disastrous event..

Stress... stress... Stress...

I've been working my ass for coupla weeks now. Since the client's year-end would be this coming November 30, we should finish the interim procedures. Actually as of today I'm almost done with the interim audit. Just a little indexing and cross referencing and I'm finished... But then again, I still have to finish disposing the review points of my boss. Anyway, It's saturday and I'm terribly tired and just wanna go home and relax. I wanna go to the mall and cruise around. Check something new in the cinema. Surf the net more. Finish the novel that I'm reading. I wanna buy the new book of Mitch Alboln (author of Tuesday's with Moorie) entitled Five People You Meet in Heaven... Anyway I'm gonna hit the road and start achieving all this... Miss bloggin' for awhile... :)
Mariah's Concert in Manila ~ Charmbracelet World Tour

Watched the concert last November 16, 2003 (Sunday) @ the Global City - Fort. It's really frustrating at first since we waited for approximately 90 minutes before she sang one of my favorites--Heartbreaker. She was wearing a very seductive and revealing attire. Anyway, I was really fascinated with her voice. She was dazzling and amazing at the same time. It didn't fail to question myself if its really for real. Anyway, I enjoyed the show. Although you can somehow say that she aged a bit but still her voice continues to amuse us all. Here's the list of the songs she sang during her concert:

  • Heartbreaker

  • Dreamlover

  • Fantasy

  • Can't take them away

  • My all

  • Through the rain

  • If you give it to me

  • My saving grace

  • I'll be there

  • Always be my baby

  • Make it happen

  • Without you

  • Vision of love

  • Hero

By the way, it rained prior to the concert and I was thinking maybe that's when her grand entrance would fit in and she'll be singing ~ Through the rain... A play of fireworks were also shown before the concert started and I was also thinking that a helicopter would suddenly be flying above us while Mariah would jump with her parachute and singing ~ Honey.

    Some pictures...

    I feel so down.

Sometimes I think that life is really unfair.

Shit! Why can I have a normal life?!

Why is that when I've finally fall in love,

    the world disagrees.

I am tormented, paranoid, and always anxious

    about what's gonna happen.

    Good thing, there's work

    that could compensate my anxieties.

    I hate feeling this way.

I just hope I was born in another world

where I could live freely as I wish

    without any hindrances or whatsoever.

Still apprehensive about the whole thing.

I just pray that this would end.

And life will be back to normal.

    I just wish...

Promil kid kasi. haha. Seriously though, I could say he’s been a staple presence in my life. I could always count on him for jokes and the latest news about music. He always has the newest CDs. It’s no wonder I got Mariah’s album the Christmas I was his “monita.” My bro (kala kasi ni Ms. Macky my dad was his dad. She called my dad “Mr. Mercado.” Haha) is definitely a BONUS. He’s smart, witty & determined, not to mention a great friend. Expect no dull moments with him…he’s great company, especially if you’re in a makulit mood. Haha.

    Ally Mcbeal's Quotable Quotes

Sometimes there is no point in the truth if the only thing it will do is cause pain.

Sometimes when you hold out for everything, you end up with nothing

Whenever I watch romantic movies, witness couples kiss and makeup, listen to a love song, I smile and feel good because I know that it still works, if not for me, at least for others.

Never trust a second thought. When there is two, there is three. You willend up thinking forever.

Whoever said that there is plenty of fish in the sea was lying. Sometimes there is only one fish. Trust me.

Sometimes the one you love turns out to be the one who hurts you the most, and sometimes the friend who takes you into his arms and cries when you cry turns out to be the love you never knew you wanted.

Why do we close our eyes when we sleep? When we cry? When we imagine? When we kiss? This is because the most beautiful things in the world are unseen.

    can't go to work...

I feel really sick, literally. Don't have the desire to eat. Just feels like I'm not doing my work effectively and efficiently. I just wish I'll be more productive next time around. Tomorrow's friday and I just wish I would have enough strength to endure my work. I'm lucky to have a boss who understands my situation. And regarding the emotions of my heart, i feel different with the person and I'm happy when we're together. I just hope we could be together on a relationship...

I'm really frustrated with my newly bought camera. Simply bcoz it's not functioning properly! Drats... Imagine, it only captures dark filthy pictures and looks like ghostly images of spirits haunting me in my deepest and darkest nightmares... Anyway, I'm happy, to compensate with grief, since i also bought a cool speaker with charger function. It's really cool and awesome!

I'll just let it linger and when it's time to face it, then that's the time I'm gonna reveal it. Don't know if I still make any sense at all but one things for sure, I found somebody to love...

    You Were There

I guess you heard, I guess you know

In time I'd have told you, but I guess I'm too slow.

And it's overly romantic but I know that it's real

I hope you don't you mind if I say what I feel.

    It's like I'm in somebody else's dream,

This could not be happening to me.

But you were there, and you were everything I'd never seen.

You woke me up from this long and endless sleep.

    I was alone.

I opened my eyes and you were there.

Don't be alarmed, no don't be concerned.

I don't want to change things

leave them just as they were.

    I mean nothing's really different

    It's me who feel strange.

I'm always lost for words when someone mentions your name.

I know I'll get over this for sure

I'm not the type who dreams there could be more.

But you were there, and you were everything I'd never seen.

You woke me up from this long and endless sleep.

    I was alone.

I opened my eyes and you were there.

Can I take your smile home with me,

or the magic in your hair?

The rain has stopped, the storm has passed

Look at all the colors now the sun's here at last.

I supposed that you'll be leaving but I want you to know

Part of you stays with me even after you go.

Like an actor playing someone else's scene

This could not be happening to me.

But you were there, and you were everything I'd never seen.

You woke me up from this long and empty sleep.

    I was alone.

I opened my eyes and no, I'm not alone, I'm not alone.

I opened my eyes and you were there.

    lil reunion...

Last night, I met my old pals back in college @ DLSU. I went to get sumkinda refund but I ended up having fun with them. Its really amazing that they still havent changed a bit. They're carefree laughter has always fascinated me. They refreshed me with the latest chika practically about anything. I found out what's happening at our Accountancy Dept. Its really surprising. Anyway, I wont share that coz its highly confidential. Moving on, I miss the old lifestyle. It makes my mind at ease just being with them since they're really fun to be with. As for my gullible personality or let us just say my generous personality, I ended up treating them for dinner. It is simply because I'm earning and they really deserve a treat. I relayed some updates regarding our batch. I even given them sample of the real-world-situation. I mean how's life at office. The work, compensation, and all those stuff. Well, practically I've enjoyed my night. Thanks to Kikay, Allen, Miggs, Maine, and Claire. I wish you good luck on the upcoming CPA board. Kick ass!

    on working late...

For the past coupla weeks, I've been working 'til 8:00 to 9:00 pm. It's not that big a deal but I seem to notice that I feel different if I go home on time. I know my parents are anxious about my health especially on working late but for me work has been part of my system. I wouldn't feel complete if I go home not having dinner at office or wherever. Well, I guess that's part of the new world now.

So many things I have foregone as I revolve in the new path that I am taking. I barely have time to connect to my previous life. I mean, I used to be a movie aficionado. But now that work has been set at a higher level of my priorities, I rarely go out and watch a movie in cinemas. I stay in tuned through dvd's/vcd's I borrowed from my friends. Anyway, what I am saying is that somehow I miss my old life but still I can't say that I despise what I'm currently doing. I actually enjoy it but then again, I do not want to relinquish my old lifestyle.

    on higher level of maturity...

I have written an article entitled, "On Higher Level of Maturity", a month ago. I wrote it because I do not know how I will act when I enter the corporate world. It seems an illusion to me since I was not able to harness my ideals and put them into actions. Its fun being yourself but to some extent it would be improper. I reckon it would be better to have a limit on how you relate with your superiors to retain certain respect. There will always be thin lining between professionalism and camaraderie.

According to my colleagues, their mind is already set on the worst thing that could happen. They see all sufferings as part of the challenges in reaping the fruits of success. It's really nice to hear from their determination. Somehow, I see myself with them and sharing the same ideals. I recall another article I've once written that focused on the common dilemma of CPA's. They seem to work a lot but rarely have the chance to reach the sky. Maybe, they failed or give up on the way. But to be actually working and seeing a lot of achievers in the office, I was once again enamored and at the same time inspired by their courage and conviction. It reminded me that dreams could turn into reality if you just do it.

    What's on my subconscious mind??

    here's what madam emode.com says...

"ronald, your subconscious mind is most preoccupied with issues around your love life

On a conscious level, you might already be aware that something is troubling you, or eating up a lot of time when it comes to your love life. But it's also possible that thoughts and feelings about your romantic life have been preoccupying your subconscious mind — leaving you with nothing more than a general sense that things just don't feel 100% right in your life though you can't quite figure out why.

You may feel your love life is unfulfilling and needs a jumpstart. You might be going through a lot of changes in your love life that you find emotionally draining. You might simply spend a lot of time thinking about romantic relationships. Or maybe you're so frustrated with your situation that you avoid the topic all together.

Whichever feelings hold true, your test results indicate that right now, your subconscious mind is working overtime to resolve the issues confronting you in this area of your life — even if you don't feel aware of it.

However, you can learn easy ways to tap into your subconscious mind and discover the source of the issues that are preoccupying you."

    Sexual Facts & Revelations...

    Sex revelation 1

The best cure for menstrual cramps is? Ladies, what's the best cure for menstrual cramps? An orgasm! The muscle that contracts during cramps is actually the same muscle being released during an orgasm. Here's another shocker! Don't be surprised if the next time you have menstrual cramps, you experience an orgasm. Menstrual cramps, yes,pain-pain-painful menstrual cramps, have been known to bring on an orgasm in very rare cases.

    Sex revelation 2

Semen tastes like? Lipstick was said to be invented in the early Egyptian days for women who specialized in oral sex. They wanted their lips to look like their vulva, so as to appear more inviting to Egyptian men. Generally, the taste of a man's semen depends on his diet. And there're about 7 calories in a teaspoon of semen. Alkaline-based food, like fish and, some meat, produces a buttery, fishy taste in the semen. Garlic gives a garlicky taste while dairy products a foul taste. The foulest taste of them all is said to be produced by eating asparagus. Acidic fruits and alcohol (except processed liquors) give it a sweet tang. By the way, oral sex firms up the lower face nicely.

    Sex revelation 3

I have a headache, honey? Alas, wives can no longer use headache as an excuse not to have sex with their husbands unless their husbands still don't know that sex is in fact one of the best ways to get rid of a headache. During sexual intercourse, the release of endorphins (pain relieving hormones with properties similar to morphine) acts as a pain-suppressant for the headache, relieving you of your immediate discomfort. So you feel a lot better. But in rare cases, sex can also cause headaches. If you suffer from these sex headaches frequently, give your General Practitioner a visit. Do you know what's a common side effect of using Viagra? Bingo! It's headache.

    Sex revelation 4

Sexy numbers that puts you to zzz? An average lovemaking session burns off about 100 calories. It takes 17 muscles to smile, and 116 muscles to climax. The fastest speed for erotic sensations to travel from underneath the skin to the brain is timed at 251.16 km per hour. You can hope for more, but an orgasm generally lasts around 3-11seconds,and the orgasmic contractions for both men and women are on par at 0.8 seconds intervals. The bigger the orgasm, the sounder you'll sleep. But take note, having multiple orgasms, let's say 20 times or more per hour, can induce coma.

    Sex revelation 5

Size matters? During foreplay, a woman's breast can increase up to as much as 25%! ...not that this happens every time of course. In response to the sexual stimulations, the increase in blood flow also often causes the veins in the breasts to show more obviously. Since we're onto the subject of size, here's a piece of good news going out to fleshy women out there. A worldwide survey of men's tastes in women revealed that more men preferred plump women to slim ones.

    Sex revelation 6

Chocolate + coffee makes a nymphomaniac? If you're a chocolate addict,it sure explains a lot of things. Well, chocolate contains phenylethylamine(PEA), the very chemical that flows through the veins of someone in love.

You know what I mean, it's responsible for the feelings responding to love-the sensations of euphoria, bliss and sexual attraction. In addition, chocolate also contains phytosteral, a plant substance that may mimic

human sex hormones. (Perhaps this explains why some women crave for chocolates just before menstruation when their hormone levels dip.) Add up these 2 chemicals and you understand why chocolate is referred to as a sex food. Right, dear chocolate addict? And if you're a chocolate addict and a coffee drinker, blessed art thou. According to the Archives of General Medicine, coffee drinkers have sex more often and enjoy it more than non-coffee drinkers. I wonder if chocolate and coffee explain why statistics indicate that Australian women are the most likely to have sex on th first date?

    how you eat your Oreo's...

One bite at a time. You are lucky to be one of the 5.4 billion other people who eat their Oreos this very same way. Just like them, you lack imagination, but that's OK, not to worry, you're normal.

    Comment:

Huh! I lack imagination?! That's absurd! How can you know ones personality by looking how you eat an Oreo cookie... It's preposterous.

    Personality Disorder Test Results

Highly Antisocial - A common misconception is that antisocial personality disorder refers to people who have poor social skills. The opposite is often the case. Instead, antisocial personality disorder is characterized by a lack of conscience. People with this disorder are prone to criminal behavior, believing that their victims are weak and deserving of being taken advantage of. They tend to lie and steal. Often, they are careless with money and take action without thinking about consequences. They are often agressive and are much more concerned with their own needs than the needs of others.

    comment

really? i really don't think so because i know for a fact that i often think first before doing an act. well, in most cases that is. but i do agree that in many ways than one i tend to be concerned with my own needs rather than the needs of others

Highly Narcissistic - Narcissistic personality disorder is characterized by self-centeredness. Like histrionic disorder, people with this disorder seek attention and praise. They exaggerate their achievements, expecting others to recongize them as being superior. They tend to be choosy about picking friends, since they believe that not just anyone is worthy of being their friend. They tend to make good first impressions, yet have difficulty maintaining long-lasting relationships. They are generally uninterested in the feelings of others and may take advantage of them

    comment

yeah somehow i agree with ya when you say that i often seek for attention. KSP kung baga... but hey! im not choosy with friends. anyone is worthy to be my friend as long as he/she acts nice and friendly. YEAH RIGHT!!! do i really take advantage of the feelings of others! go to hell pyscho!

Highly Avoidant- Avoidant personality disorder is characterized by extreme social anxiety. People with this disorder often feel inadequate, avoid social situations, and seek out jobs with little contact with others. They are fearful of being rejected and worry about embarassing themselves in front of others. They exaggerate the potential difficulties of new situations to rationalize avoiding them. Often, they will create fantasy worlds to substitute for the real one. Unlike schizoid personality disorder, avoidant people yearn for social relations yet feel they are unable to obtain them. They are frequently depressed and have low self-confidence.

    comment

Again, i agree with some of your points mister! but hell, im not seeking out for a particular work by reason of "little contact with other". i've got more sensible and practical reasons for that. yeah yeah im afraid of rejection and all but still i dont avoid social gatherings to the full extent.

Not Reallly Dependent- Dependent personality disorder is characterized by a need to be taken care of. People with this disorder tend to cling to people and fear losing them. They may become suicidal when a break-up is imminent. They tend to let others make important decisions for them and often jump from relationship to relationship. They often remain in abusive relationships. They are overly sensitive to disapproval. They often feel helpless and depressed.

    comment

At last, finally! something made sense. i am low in this area and i think suicide has not yet and ever will be entered in my vocabulary.

    The Partner

I should have written this coupla days ago but found no time...

Anyway, I've finished reading the spectacular plot-driven novel of John Grisham. It's really enthralling and page-turner and his avid readers are right in saying that you'll stay all-night-long reading it. Let me give you a background about the story. Mr. Lanigan, a newly-appointed lawyer of a law firm, faked death and stole ninety million dollars. One-third of the money should have been for the firm and the rest to their client, Mr. Aricia (fraudulently been rewarded with the money by the gov't). The plot goes on as Lanigan was eventually found. The story revolves as to how he could struggle on indictments, court settlements, and other cases filed by the state, FBI, and his wife, respectively.

I was really really frustrated about the ending of the novel. Not that I totally disagree with how the story ends but really if you try reading it you would somehow feel sad for Mr. Lanigan. Honestly, I stayed up late at night reckoning why that happened to him and somehow I felt sorry for the lead character. Anyway, I recommend it as one of the best-read novels of my favorite author, John Grisham.

that'll be the first resolution for this morning. and i mean it!! let's plan. or i say my deadline is not later than the end of this month. in preparation for my bday, i think the best give i can give myself is 'the will power to finally quit it...
    on being workaholic

well i guess this is it. for the past coupla weeks ive been working my ass of. no time for movies, gimix, and stuff.

two consec days of overtime in a week. Now that i have a client (DBP-Daiwa), im sure ill be working doubly hard this time! a trace of workaholic in that case. anyway, im outta money and i think i shoulda start saving this time. my 21st bday is up and coming. so better save myself some moolah or i can't treat my fam and friends. and to think i havnt bought myself somethin special. i wanna new fone, new discman, new computer, etc.

again, i havnt found time to spare to jot a thing or two about how my life has been. most of the time during weekends either im surfin the net too busy not to blog nor check my mail. or if not, im watchin tv. btw, ive seen amazing race. and its not that bad. its actually exciting. for the bad part, ive watch the eagles vs archers. too bad we didnt win. watda heck, we're tired of winning anyway. just finished 'the street lawyer' by mr grisham. he's really an awesome writer. keeps me dragging myself to finish the book. right now im reading 'the partner'.

so i guess, this is it for me. ill be getting ready in a minute. pretty excited with my new out-of-office work. ill just blog if i have the luxury of time. see you then...

    Eating Lunch @ e-cafe

Hey everybody! I'm here @ e-cafe. We can't find large enough table for us to be accomodated. I am with my MC-mates. You know its really really fun to hang-out with them. I am very hungry but then again still have to wait for the others to buy their food. You know, I'm sumkinda stingy and don't wanna spend a penny for my lunch so I just get some stuff from the fridge and pack 'em up to eat later...

Btw, I joked Eric and told him I formatted his diskette although its not true! hehehe You can see his face! harharhar

    Dripping Coffee...

I'm still at e-cafe, finishing my work. I got a bit sleepy so I went to 12th floor to buy something. Bought a cup of coffee. Aya and Talen noticed that my cup of coffee is dripping. Good thing they told me before my pants soaked with coffee. LoLz! :D

    Weird Tagalog Translations...

It seems that I'm in front of this computer for hours! THat is why I didn't fail to recognize that the quick keys on the taskbars were tagalized. Here's a sample:

  • Windows Explorer- Bintana ng Paghahanap

  • Internet Explorer- Ilunsad ang pangloob na kulambong paghahanap

    nyahahahaha :D :D

  • I was really tired last night that I forgot to turn off the computer! Damn! Plus... I forgot to set my alarm clock @ 3am. I was actually planning to finish my work early in the morning. I woke up at around 6:30 and I'm really really late. So I decided to just do it at office. GOod thing my boss is not that strict. I have all the time to finish it 'til 10:00.

What's up with me? Well, I'm fine and happy. Just received my second salary. Went yesterday to g4 to buy something that will make me lil happier. Went home after that. Bought pizza for my family. Yeah it really feels good treating your family. Anyway, gotta go now! still have tons of work to do...

    group bonding

Last Friday, I asked my officemates to watch a movie with me unfortunately when they already agreed the newly appointed partner, Boss Ladis, invited us for a dinner blowout at NBC-greenbelt. So naturally I have to decline my offer but they still went anywayz. Then the dinner... after the dinner we asked politely Boss Ladis to allow us to go home early. JB and I headed off to glorietta planning to watch a movie with her cousin. Then to my surprise, Owen & co were still at glorietta. They haven't watched a movie yet so the original plan was regained. After waiting for half an hour we went upstairs to buy tickets... Sold-out!! The next sked is 10:50 which means it'll end @ around 1:00am. We decided not to watch.. instead we planned for our next gimik which would be sometime next week. I'll jaz tell you more when the plan transpired.

    The Dinner

The dinner was fab and superb... Ziken, Pizza, Chips, Fries, Onion Rings, Pasta, etc... Amberi full after eating gazillion servings. And its a good idea that the new hires were spread out for us to know our senior collegues (spell check)... They told us different stories about their horrific experience in audit. They even told us info about our in-charge. Before I lost my appetite I ate the servings before I asked questions. Anyway, it's really a good thing I went to that party unfortunately I have to get our early bcoz I still want to watch a movie. But I promise this would be the last of the three "eat-and-run" that I'll do.

    job routine

I was a lil bit frustrated because I thought I would be doing a different job today. I finished doing The Hotel Trends thinking that once I finished them all I would be engaged in a client. Suprisingly, Miss Zhai gave me another month's Hotel Trend. *groans* I envy my clustermates because they were already assigned to different clients mostly hotels around Makati City. Anyway, Imma do my job accurately and quickly. Who knows maybe tomorrow or the next day I would already be assigned to a client I really want.

    My First Salary

Awhile ago I checked the balance of my UCPB account and to my surprise I saw more than what I really really expected. I cashed them all and planning to give it ALL to my parents. I dunno but there is this feeling of triumph and sense of fulfillment on my part. It really felt good! I mean this is the first taste of the struggle i've been through all these days. And maybe all this years of investing knowledge, i guess.

Being tempted to spend some, I hurried home. Just in case I would see something worth buying since I am an impulsive buyer to that effect. It's a good thing that I have supressed the intensity of buying. With all due respect, I gave all of my salary to my mom. Though I am expecting that she'll return it (She did) I insist that she should take it. Fortunately (should I say) she said I should keep it and save it.

Well well right this very moment so many things are flying in my mind like what to buy. But I intend to spend it wisely. Til this time I have thought to keep it rather than spend it right away. There's really a big difference between the money you earned and the allowance given to you by your parents.

Anyway, its good to share this feeling because I've been dying to blog just practically about anything. Well, I reckon I should somehow celebrate such a joyous event. :)

    My Weekend

What a relief!! After a week-long training, I've finally have the time to give in to the persuits of my long forgotten hobbies. Watched coupla episodes of FRIENDS. Watched TV. And obviosly, I was surfing the net. But to my uncontrollable desires to further drown myself to my longingness of browsing through my favorite websites, I still have to read the materials that were furnished for the SGV Training. Luckily, I started on reading the "Just the Way It Happened: A Memoirs of Alfredo Velayo". It was goddam inspiring life of one the co-founders of SGV & Co. I dunno but after reading half-way through the book, I was captivated by how his life turned out to be successful. His life's not only an adventure but through his journey you will find lessons to learn in his life. Well, in a nutshell, I've learned that hardwork requires a great deal of time and energy but once it got paid-off you will not only enjoy it financially but something deep inside you would be fed up. Maybe sense of fullfilment.

    Birthday Party of Kikay

Yesterday I went to Las Pinas to attend to the birthday party of my friend Kikay. I enjoyed my stay there simply because I saw a cute girl there. Just kidding! I enjoyed very much just by looking at Kikay's expression. She seems very happy and its comforting to know that she really likes the present we (ochie and I) gave her. T'was a cute lil pup named Bruno. Anyway, Ody's there too together with Hans, Miggs, Allen, and the rest of DLSU peeps. It's really a good feeling when you've onced again interact with them. Talk about certain updates in your lives. Share laughs and uneasiness. Well, all-in-all, it's a terrific event.

    Tuesday, July 8, 2003

Yesterday was a tiring and stressfull day.

We haven't started formally on work but the orientation sucks!

I mean I could have dozed off if not for my candy.

    They're really terribly boring.

Anyway for the next two weeks we would be having training.

Again, I would not be formally working just yet.

Anyway, we are opt to choose our sked.

    It could be 7-4:30; 8-5:30; or 9-6:30.

I really wanted 7 but i really can't wake up that early

so I'll prolly choose 8 sked.

I'm dressing up but I had the sudden urge to post

and I think this would suffice my cravings. hehehe :)

    70's Bistro Gigabytes

Had a good time watching the gigabytes with karla and her friends last saturday.

We watched Imago and Pan performing live at 70's Bistro located at Anonas.

Don't even know that the place exists. Anyway went home quite late around 3am.

Thank God my parents are not around bcoz Im sure to hear an early homily from them.

    Another day...

Awhile ago i just had my medical exam and although

it has been said that it would take for about 3-4 hours

i finished earlier not even for an hour. After the said

exam i went to starbucks - standard & chartered to kill time.

then went straight to NBI to claim my clearance. Dammit! I look

aweful on the pix! hehehe :D Anyway, I should really loosin up a bit. I'm

gettin bigger and bigger. Can you imagine i gained 15+ pounds!

shesh... Imma do a skyflakes diet starting tomorrow! hehehe :D

Really have no time to jot a thing or two on my bloggie this past week. Anyway, I'm quite busy accomplishing the requirements in SGV & Co. By the way, I was accepted already. I signed last Monday. I was interviewed by Sir Mark, a senior associate, who is really fun to talk with. It turned out that I was the one interviewing him regarding his job experiences. Last Wednesday, I went to SSS to correct the name entered on their records. I saw my name on the list that the OCS have prepared and t'was Donald rather than Ronald. Shesh... So I went all the way to SSS Manila branch just to correct the records and to find out that it was accurate all the time. goddamit OCS! Then i went to NBI to apply for a clearance and the queue was so long that i ended up almost finishing the book "all i really need to know i learned from kindergarten". T'was really an exhausting day!!!

    Friday, June 6, 2003

T'was a busy day yesterday. Went to SGV & Co. to apply as a Junior Auditor. Had a very long examinations and after that I waited for couple of hours for the interview. Unfortunately, No partner is available at that time. Only the HR interviewed me. She said that they would just call me to schedule my interview with a partner. Anyway, I'm still waiting for their call...

Btw, I have a new phone. Although I didn't get what I wanted, I am still happy for my new phone. It's a Nokia 6250. The phone that I really really like back then. It's durability is no doubt the best! Hehehe... Later, I'm gonna meet Karla together with the other rebelde peeps. I'm quite excited and I'll just blog later on about the updates... :)

    Wednesday, May 28, 2003

Hi everyone! Missed blogging for the past few days... This rainy season really get me a lil tired and bored. I was literally sleeping all day long. Til now I haven't watched "Matrix Reloaded". Geevee even told me I'm a loser. Watda Heck! I don't care. I don't wanna get sick and spoil my lil vacation here. Yeah! I'm having a time off for awhile. I'm really stressed out after the board exam. I'm really happy I passed but got frustrated because my lowest was Auditing Theory. I really tried harder but I didn't get a high grade. Anyhow, I passed...

I really find my home comforting! Last few days, I've been staying at my pad (burgundy penthouse) but suddenly I become tired of living there. When I feel hungry I need to go down to 7-11 to buy something whereas when I'm at home I can just attack the fridge and pig-out whatever I want. Plus its really expensive living independently. But you know? I will really miss the old hangout place. My roomies and of course, the pad itself. So many memories were created... After 8 months (its really been that long), I'll be going back home.

Well, right now, I'm here at paranaque (my home). I couldnt ask for more. I have someone to cook my food whenever I want. I could watch so many movies whenever i wish. And of course, my parents are not here @ this time, so I can connect to the internet all @ the same time.

Next week would already be June! I plan to remake my resume and to get ready for tons of interview. I should also be ready for the requirements needed to register as a professional (nax!). Next week, I plan to go to the BIG FOUR Auditing Firms, namely: SGV & Co, Joaquin Cunanan & Co, Punongbayan & Araullo, Inc, and Layamananghaya & Co. Good thing, they're all located around Ayala Ave.

Hmm... whatelse is new? Oww... I'm currently looking for a girlfriend! Hahaha! So if you find me cute or anything, just post a comment and I'll get you!! hehehe Seriously, I am really desperate :) Nyahaha... Btw, I'm also planning to subscribe for a new phone. My plan is to get a Nokia 6800 for 14000 (Plan 1800). Kinda expensive but I think its worth the spending. My fone really sucks big time. When I get a new Nok, I'll throw it as hard as I could outside the window of Burgundy! jk.

    Yahoo!!!! Whoopie!!! Hooray for me!

I'm already a Certified Public Accountant!

After the mind cracking test i have finally made it...

Actually Im really not sure if I did pass

My blockmate told me "Congrats! Ang galing galing mo naman!"

    Then suddenly, i was shocked.

    I can't move for about a minute

Then I texted her back asking "what about?"

I called her right then and there

She told me Alma (my blockmate also) told her that all blakwan passed

    My parents are so happy

Dad abruptly said that we order a pizza

    hehehe he's so happy...

    My mom is subtly happy

Maybe whe wants to be sure

    The feeling is remarkably awesome!

I mean a bit fullfilment and excitement altogether!

I can't wait to see my name on the newspaper.

Anywayz, I have God to thank for inspiring me through and through.

    The Waiting…

    By Ronald B. Mercado

It’s almost 30 hours since I took the final subject for the CPA Licensure Examinations. Last night was really dreadful since I can’t stop from thinking how fairly I have answered the examinations especially Practical Accounting Problems – II, which is my favorite subject. It is impeccable as I imagined it to be but on the contrary it became sort of a nightmare for me. I am beginning to doubt if I can still pass the exam. Most nights I’ve become restless just thinking about what would form part of the questions but last night was really shocking. I felt uneasiness flow over my aura. Would I possibly make it? Would I be included on the list of those who passed?

    NEGATIVE AFTERSHOCK

Knowing that you didn’t make it would extremely hurt your self-esteem. It would also be costly, both financially and time-wise speaking since you have to review again for the next set of examinations. But if ever I would not make it then there’s nothing to do but accept the fact that I did my best and probably there’s a reason for such failure to occur. God has better plans for me, maybe. I believe that the will of God matters most. Although accepting failure is not an easy task, I should focus on what will happen to me afterwards. Mrs. Kimwell once said that there’s nothing you can do by crying over spilled milk. Past is past! You should live by the present and plan for the future. And I remember, Mrs. De Leon saying that you’ll only be joining the majority if you fail the exams. They are quite comforting but then again would your ego accept the fact that you’ve been preparing for these exams for months. Darn! Darn! Darn! I think the proper way to face the negative aftershock is to meditate. Serenity is what you need. I’ll probably lock-up in my room and try to get cool through silence. Prayer is a key in unlocking your pride and accepting failure. God will always listen to whatever you tell Him and I bet you’ll find peace through Him. That’s the first step, “The Realization”. The next thing to do is “The Resolution”. Once you’ve become yourself again then that’s the high time you go and plan for things that you should do. As for me, I plan to go on a 1-week vacation before I start reviewing again. Since I already took the exam then I have a hold of my weaknesses and that would serve as a tool for assessing what I should focus more on. The dictum, “Try and try until you succeed”, would definitely be a guide for me in taking another chance for the next scheduled examinations.

    POSITIVE AFTERSHOCK

If by any chance I would be included in the list of those who made it, then YAHOO!!! …I shall celebrate this spectacular event! It’s a glorious moment for me since all my sacrifices have finally been paid-off. I would go to the church and say my thanksgiving prayer. It would not have been possible without God’s inspiration and guidance. I have been constantly praying to Him that whatever He’s will would be let it happen and if I would become a CPA I told Him that it is for His greater glory and thy shall never cease to be an obedient.

The waiting is really a torturing experience for all the candidates for CPA since they feel a particular extent of uncertainty as to their performance. Most of whom I know including the smart ones are also doubtful as to their standing. I think I just have to wait and see if I could transform FCPA to CPA. I just have to be patient.

CPA: A Devastating Road to Success?

    by RONALD B. MERCADO

    ____________________________________________________________________

The culmination of my tertiary education has already ended and I have gainfully ascertained the professional path that I wish to take. Having learned the know-how’s of accounting, I am already adept of what it takes to be a Certified Public Accountant though I haven’t taken the board exams yet. In its strictest sense, it is a must to pass in order to secure a license. But the heck of it, as my reviewer once said those examiners are corrupt in that they give examinations that are one helluva brain squashing and mind boggling tests. In certain points, I do agree with him since they keep on giving examinations which are beyond the syllabus or if not they give topics out of another subject. Or if you’re pretty unlucky the examiners assigned may not now how to arrive at the correct answer; therefore no answer is available on the choices. Anyhow, the important thing is that I am already ready to face the future. Right now, I am still wide awake and reviewing for the board exams. Few more weeks and the big event would finally arrive. The biggest question is: “Will I pass the said exam?” which depends solely on how the questions would be given. Would it cover the things I know? For your information, the syllabi are lengthy enough for you not to sleep all day in 6 months just to finish reviewing. A huge capacity is needed in your brain in order to accommodate the infinite formulas, periods, and rules in Accounting, Taxation, and Law. So many principles need to be studied. But of course, since the required weighted average would be 75% and at least two subjects having a floor of 65%. Basically, it’s only a reasonable assurance that is needed. Hence, there is still time to sleep. Hmmm… maybe for about 5 luxurious hours. The funny thing is that I once answered a set of examination getting an-almost-satisfying grade of 76% but on one subject I got a falling-star-grade. The subject is Auditing Problems. Would you imagine giving a branch auditing problem? The mere fact that it focused on topics in Practical Accounting 2 can already put you to a shiver. The heartless examiner even gave it for an audit test. These sadists really do not know how it feels to be tortured.

Let’s move on… Forget all about those pointless complaints. Nothing can be done but to pray that those things will not happen on our batch of examinees. During the past months I’ve been a prisoner of my own will. I experienced being locked-up in a room wherein I have no choice but to study, to study, and to study. It seemed like a mandatory procedure to go to the library and start reading the provisions of law and to drag myself in expediting my understanding on internal control and risk assessment. It’s such a shame that my undergrad professor didn’t teach us the basics of auditing theory. On the other hand, Business Law is inherently hard to understand unless you have a blood of a lawyer. Sometimes I do not know the reason behind giving Business Law as a half-subject in the board exams. My rationale is that we wouldn’t really practice them once where employed. We only need to know them but not master the provisions not unless where going to become CPA-Lawyer, which was once my goal. Forget about that! My mind is not set for studying that crap. I really hate that subject for so many reasons. One, why would legislators enact provisions with all due complexities? They could have set it at a uniform basis like for example the simple rule on sale of real properties having inferior quality vis-Ć -vis a sale of real property lacking size on what was stipulated on the contract. What is it really? Less than 10% or not less than 10% to rescind the contract?! Why the difference? Geesh… there are tons of loopholes that can make you fall in your seat simply thinking of them. As I was saying my life has been but a disaster. I keep on studying. It seems stress is already coupled in my career as a student, as an examinee, and finally as an auditor. When would this difficulty end? As they always say generally all the hard work would be compensated later on. EXCEPTION TO THE RULE: the accountants. Only a few can be a very successful CPAs but as for us, nah?! Where just gonna sit our asses and indefinitely working for so many hours with of course many sleepless nights and overtime hours in our respective offices. But then again, we chose this path and the courage of conviction can only be tested by persistency in the choices we made. There’s no going back now. It’s rather too late to back-out. I could have shifted from another course if I have to but I did not. This is simply because I have a belief with myself. My friends could attest to my strong character and I could always get out in a situation where I put myself into. In the end, all of us would finally say it’s not that bad after all then maybe holding keys of a BMW and of a house & lot at Corinthians’ Garden (who knows?). Whatever our endeavors would be it will always be coupled with trials and difficulties. The risk-return trade-off is the great principle that I believe in. In that it says that if you are a risk-taker then it would most probably yield on a high return. In parallel with that is the choice we made and how we go on with our life with the path we’ve taken. Now, is it really a devastating road?

damn it! the taxation exam is really freaking me out

maybe because of that i may not be able to pass the board

but still i have high hopes for my answers

    i reviewed them meticuliously

MAS, TOA, and AT are fairly done

i know i did my best

am just hoping i answered correctly

anyhow, next week would be less difficult than the first batch

now lets talk about my plans regarding my career

hmm.. i plan to enjoy first my first month of being a bum-bum!

i think it would be cool since i dont have to worry about anything

then im going to apply for a job on an auditing firm

    then life goes on...

hope to meet a lot of friends on work

    hope to meet her there

hope to finally feel the sense of fulfillment

    but i always question myself

    when would i feel complete

i mean if i pass the board exam

there would be a degree of fulfillment on my part

    but would it finally pay-off?

    maybe not

it would finally pay-off when i get my first pay check

i will surely miss my friends back in college

    my number one crush!

she'll surely be successful in life

she's smart and i know she'll make it

but i really really miss her company

sometimes i question myself and destiny

why such thing ever happened to me

why did i fall for her

    why not other people...

i dont exactly know if she understands my situation here

but til now i think weve drifted apart

after couple of years, i will reckon every single moment w/ her

and what happened to our friendship

then prolly am going to resent everything ive done

    is it me?

    well i dont know

and as far as i know i did it for myself

i just dont want to feel devasted and all

i dont want to feel the guilt of not saying whats in my heart

    i want to move on

i met someone on the chatroom

    she's really cool and amazing

a girl who really knows what she's talking about

really had a fun time talking to her

    but the frustrating thing is

    she has a special someone

i dunno why life is treating me this way

the first time i fell in love

    the girl's already taken

and when i found an opportunity

i crossed the boarderline of friendship

    and now... history repeats itself

    talk about tough luck!

    anyway, life revolves

    and as clouds roll by

    we find moments to share

and i will definitely tell in this blog of mine

the whole thing that's happening to me

    til then..

    and i keep on blogging...

    Tuesday, May 6, 2003

haay! i will really miss my roomies..

ilang weeks na lang matatapos na ung lease contract namin

btw, geevee if ur reading my page

thanks dun sa rosary and pencil

am really gonna use that for the board exam!

    Wednesday, April 9, 2003

I've been very busy this week. I'm really finishing some subjects for the Board Exam. Seems like most of my entries here describes my struggle to finally finish the whole review. I'm exerting an effort in order to say that I gave my best shot. In case I will not pass the board exam I would not regret it since I did my best. Maybe an explanation for that is the lack of time allocated in studying. It's barely a month left before May and I suppose majority of the examinees are already trying hard to put the endless formulas in their mind. I am also doing that but sometimes laziness tend to overshadow my priorities. I remember my last post was about finishing some of the subjects but til now i havent done it. Anyway, I tend to do it again but this time I will really try harder to finish my assigned task for today. I should cover everything in MAS and then proceed tomorrow on Practical Accounting 1. Then, I'll probably answer comprehensive problems in Auditing. And lastly, I'll review my Theory of Accounts, Auditing Theory, and Taxation.

Reviewing for the board is really exhausting. I, sometimes, overindulge myself in sleeping that I wake up at around 10 in the morning. No time to go to review school. Maybe because what they are covering is insufficient to finish all the topics on time. When I'm reviewing all by myself, I can finish a great bulk of a subject. Since I am well adept with some of the topics being discussed in our Review School, then why not just focus on the topics I barely know. Sigh! ... really don't have time for extreme relaxation. I think for almost 3 months I have not been watching movies nor even open my TV set. Hehehe ironically I am indulging myself in opening my textbooks or punching numbers on my calculator. Shesh.. hope this whole damned thing will pass... Can't wait to go to GB3 and have a movie marathon!!

    Friday, March 28, 2003

Didnt go to class today simply because i have to finish my practical accounting subjects.

This week i have to finish Prac1, Prac2, and MAS.

Next week i am planning to study theoretical subjects like

Theory of Accounts, Auditing Theory, Business Law, and Taxation Theory.

Good to have a new redirecting link

So far so good, there are no intruders.

It's really nice having a peaceful atmosphere

I can just hope and pray for the world

    The war is going on...

    Many lives are at steak.

@#%=|\ My mind is really preoccupied with uncertainty

    Maybe about the future...

Da hell w/ that, ill just review and let myself revolve around my

    own miseries first...

    Tuesday, March 25, 2003

Last night i watched the Oscars. Though i havent seen the major categories being awarded i've seen the most controversial scene. The scene where a documentary film was awarded. The Oscar winner disgraced U.S. President Bush and abhors the war led by their country against Iraq. He said that they're living in a fictitious world wherein they elect a fictitious president (something like that) saying further that they are lucky because what they are doing are non-fiction films... Anyway, so much for the freedom of speech! I have no qualms against his reaction. In fact, even I detest U.S. for such horrific acts. But put it this way, it should be said at a proper place and at a proper time. I mean he could have said his opinion nicely without generalizing too much. But who can blame the man if what is happening in the world is just plain chaos and could be done in a diplomatic way. I think Bush should have opt to have taken the due process and recommendation of the United Nations. It only shows how the United States are plain dictator of the world.

    Monday, March 24, 2003

i just transferred my redirect link because of unexpected visitors...

anyway, my weekend has been a stressful hell.

My brother, sister-in-law, and I went to Quiapo, Greenhills, Uniwide, Ruins

and a lot of places that has already drained my energy to further review for the weekend...

Because of that i dont have enough energy to face today's review

anyway, im still going to review school since we're going to have a test in MAS.

i havnt studied either. But i plan to start my review proper later and find a place

where i can regain my concentration.

    Rondz Syllabus for CPA Exams:

    click me!!!

    Friday, March 21, 2003

Yesterday was a really exhausting day. Jayvee and I went to PRC to file our application for the CPA Licensure Exam. The heat is tremendously protruding our skin. It was around 2pm when we went there. I remember Jayvee wasn't allowed to enter the premises since he doesn't have socks (he managed to grab a pair after awhile)... Anyway, the first thing we do was to fill out an application form and secure ourselves with a xerox-copy of transcript and birth certificate, residence certificate and four passport-size pictures. The government employees there really bothers me especially the woman who only knows how to frown! she even embarrased us for feeling dumb and stupid. How could we possibly know where to go if there ain't no signs anywhere! No visible line was seen. Good thing the one who served me was a friendly guy who even advised me to photocopy the transcript since he said its hard to secure an original copy. Anyway, so far the day was treating me like hell and when im almost through, as far as i know, i passed my accomplished forms. i was actually ignorning the lady who always frowns and chose the guy who seems to be friendly. BUT to my avail he embarrased me again. Saying that i should already leave because im blocking the queue. He even said "Alis! Alis!" without saying properly what im supposed to do. I dunno? maybe i said harsh words about his lack of professional conduct to the people he serves. He could have said it properly. I think these government employees are abusing their statutory power. I know they're tired of the full day's work but they dont have the right to treat anyone badly. But i think he learned his lesson because the next time i went there he kept his mouth shut. Anyway, im tremendously happy for having finished my application. The next thing to do is to study and take the examinations.

im gonna leave you now. im going to la salle to review. hoping not to step unto another computer. hehehe

    Thursday, March 20, 2003

ey guys!! i've just installed backblog

which enables visitors/guests to comment on my blogs

so if you have anything to say or any reaction on what

ive written here... you're just a mouse-click away

    click on comments! thanks!!
about what i am going to tell yah

is that i'm really having a hard time looking for a peaceful place to study

well, for almost a month i've been studying at dlsu library

but the big problem is whenever i go there

there is a tendency that i surf the net

almost half of my time is consumed

maybe another problem is studying with my buddies

i tend to relax and chit chat with them

so, i've decided to go on my own

and look for a place to study

    this time its for real

its 52 days to go before the board exam

shesh... prolly go to an isolated place

like the octopus! yeah! its really a good idea.

later im going to PRC to file my application for the board exams

so til then... btw, the computer @ R pad is already a-ok!

    Wednesday, March 19, 2003

i wanted to discuss something but the keyboard of this computer

is really acting strange especially the space bar... so ill post it next time

    Tuesday, March 18, 2003

Went to Municipio ng ParaƱaque awhile ago

I need Residence Tax Certificate for my Board Exam

I didn't attend my Auditing Problems Review

Although I finished my class on Auditing Theory

I learned a lot. The topic was about Audit Sampling.

Mr. Bucao discussed religiously the factors that affect

the sample size the auditor should consider.

Hay! You know? It's really weird because the time I learned

how stress feels like was after i graduated.

Really had a stressful time for the past few weeks

I've been studying morning, afternoon, and past-midnight

I sleep for about 3-4 hours. 5 hours would already be magnificent.

Usually people would comment that I'm getting fat.

    Dba nagrereview ka? hehehe

    That's the common impression.

But mind you, when your really boosting your energy towards studying

your body needs a lot of energy. so i kept on eating...

    Monday, March 17, 2003

shesh... i just made a movie review of THE LAST CASTLE

shax... i dunno where it went...

    grr... kakainiz
income tax quiz was just fine

i really had a stressful time reviewing last nyt

i stayed as late as 1:30am

    my roomm8 arrived really late

even though im afraid to admit it

but im kinda scared so i left the lights on

im here with my bespren @ an internet cafe

    its along leon guinto

i think im wasting my time here

but come to think of it

i dont have the mood for studying

later im gonna make reviewers for auditing and taxation

im planning to stay away with my friends

as to give myself full concentration on my studies...

    about my movie reviews,

    lately i havent done any

although i did watch a lot of movies

    like:

    the last castle

    the hours

    chicago

    maid in manhattan

    the bridges of madison county

maybe next time i'll do my homework

but for now, gonna focus more on my priorities!

got the result of the prtc preboard exam

    i ranked somewhere between 21-25

ain't that bad? haven't really focused on the exam

although i studied 3 days for that exam

well, i guess i need to focus on my weaknesses

i scored 86.45% which means it wasn't bad after all

it was adjusted from 78.07 to 86.45

i am very happy for kathie since she topped the preboard

just had mass @ most blessed sacrament

finished a chapter of auditing and assurance services

and still hoping to finish two more chapters

    t0m's another day to struggle

need to exert more effort on my review

later i plan to go to starbucks and study some more

anyway, all my sacrifices would later pay-off

    dont you think?

    Wednesday, March 12, 2003

didn't go to my rewiew class

simply because i felt that i already have a complete grip of what's in-stored for today

    which is Partnership Accounting (PRAC2)

today marks the 60-day countdown before the horrifying event (CPA EXAM)

eek! i have to rush already

    crashing time once again

hehehe i remember our lesson in Quatech which is the PERT-CPM

anyway, i plan to start with theoretical examinations

    since those are my weaknesses

    then, after everything's been covered

i'm gonna scan the practical 1 & 2, and also MAS

hope to finish my sched for today.

i plan to take up donor's tax

    and finish theory of accounts

again, the main hindrance in my review is

    tan... tananan... tanan... "iNtErNeT"

i just reminisced my old bloggers and

felt lucky that i kept a journal of thoughts behind

i finally finished checking my preboard exams. approximately i got 74%, which is insufficient to pass the preboard. i got frustrated but its actually a good indication for me as to how i am going to weigh my weaknesses and my forte. i really need to study further on taxation and auditing theory. i need to polish my theory of accounts and business law. with respect to the other subject, i just need to maintain the current focus im giving them.

vie, stella and i went to Raon awhile ago. i accompanied them because their looking for a cd player that is also VCD-ready. I was also looking for a converter for my discman. i cant really find what im looking for. anyway, my sched for today is to finish chapters 3 and 4 of TOA and i also need to answer the partnership problems of Prac2. im really busy this week so expect me not to access this page for sometime.

they said that the results of the exam would be

    determined tomorrow

i already know some of my grades in some subjects
