the great darwin theory

so far my only research on darwin is from wiki. and some points worth noting...

General info
- Darwin's population is notable for the highest proportional population of Aboriginals of any Australian capital city.
- Darwin's population comprises people from many different ethnic backgrounds. The 2006 Census revealed the following most places of birth for overseas migrants: United Kingdom (3.4 per cent), New Zealand (2.1 per cent), Philippines (1.4 per cent) and East Timor (0.9 per cent).
- The two largest economic sectors are mining and tourism.
note that there's heaps of Filo around. Hmm... hope there's a filo store/resto around. *cf*

Recreation
- The city has many kilometres of wide, unpolluted beaches, including the Casuarina Beach and well renowned Mindil Beach
- Darwin City Council has designated an area of Casuarina Beach as a free beach which offers a designated nudist beach area since 1976
- Swimming in the sea during the months of October–May should be avoided due to the presence of deadly box jellyfish
- Saltwater crocodiles are very common in all waterways surrounding Darwin and are even occasionally found swimming in Darwin Harbour and on local beaches.
oh no! cant swim definitely. its fatal - jelly fish and crocs... i reckon i should have an armor whilst wandering in the beaches - lol its nude beach for crying out loud

Getting around and places to see
- Darwin has no intracity rail.
- Darwin is a hub for tours to Kakadu National Park,[59] Litchfield National Park[60] and Katherine Gorge.
- The Darwin Entertainment Centre is the city's main concert venue and hosts theatre and orchestral performances.
- Darwin is home to the Indo-Pacific Marine & Australian Pearling Exhibition, which houses an aquarium complete with living coral, and its complementary sea life.
- Considering its moderate size, Darwin has a lively night scene. Mitchell Street in the central business district is lined with nightclubs, takeaways, and restaurants, many with al fresco dining. This is the city's entertainment hub
oh no! no rail! i cant live without rail. prolly the city is not that big anyway, might as well walk around and explore. with the 5 nights there, we should explore the city, go to Litchfield and the rest of the days are for Kakadu!

My spirit walk

Had one this morning. It didn't take more than 2ks to unravel where today's journey would be. Taking easy at Newton's cafe. Splendid coffee over my Spanish omelet. Bought random books over an old bookstore.

I just realised how everything has changed and will be changing in my life over the next few months. Whatever happens I trust Him that it will be for the best. I'm taking it one slow steps at a time. Embracing the moment. Rediscovering the missed life-balance. I'm glad I finished Audit.

Bye Stratie -

Finally I'm on my way to my new home in Eastwood. Today was soo exhausting. I'm flat out. The crazy removalist was slow. We ended up carrying most boxes ourselves. The Jordanian guy was so xhatty and annoying. Hate those guys. I ended up paying 425 bucks.

Thanks PJ for helping me moveout and clean my apartment. I owe you big one.

After 1.5 years - I'm saying goodbye to Strathfield. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely miss my place.

80% done

Cant believe this is sooo hard. My back's aching with all the packing. Its hard enough to pack everything in boxes. Plus the headache of delivering furniture and appliances to designated buyers. Arrgh... Plus money is depleting very quickly. But, i'm almost there. 80% done. tomorrow's gonna be a busy day.

Freedom

Wasn't able to blog my detailed spur of emotions for some time now. Guess i've been swamped with too much work and stress these days. Finishing up with EY and the headache of moving and selling stuff are just crazy. Add in another unsolved equation of travel and monetary dilemma.

But all is great cos I feel free. No more waking up with troubled mind on how I can finish my jobs at a little budget. Just plain and sweet - enjoy jobless months while I travel and explore.

NZ Visa

Can't believe that I'm actually going? It was an abrupt decision when my cousin fb'd me and told me she's there... Then the following week I realised how cheap the fare was. Next thing u know - I'm waiting on the immigration consul at a NZ embassy in Sydney. And during office hours.

Easter break

Woke up uneasy. Thought I wouldn't be able to attend Visita Iglesia. But the Lord gave me strength. I was able to go. Thanks Ghie for bringing me an Easter bunny and for buying my balcony table.

Some random pics today...

Good things knock unexpectedly

Enormously happy that I got some hope amidst the dark clouds that had been covering hope for some time now. I just hope that my PR application will be granted and soon I will find a job. By then I can say its fair and sunny again.

mixed alcoholic beverage for my crazy state of mind

Margarita. Mojito. Chardonnay. Shiraz. Corona. Stephen's beer (forgot what its called). Rum Coke. Fanta Vodka. Tequila. Double Black. And others that I couldn't even remember. These had been my drinks for the past 72 hours. I know I shouldn't but it has to be done. Lots of up's and down's lately. Lots of people involved. It's just to crazy to even dwell about it.

Thursday was fun. Ate at Hurricane - the best ribs in Sydney. Too flustered with work. Ironic that I have this zest for work but too much to worry about on the next day.

Friday was good and bad. Bad cos I got a late night email (after coming from our end of busy season event -EOBS) from both my client and the engagement partner. I think I inadvertently made an error on their accounts. But before that I was all happy: (a) EOBS partey!; (2) after party with my friends and it seems that MQH chart has been good and within my level of expectation.

Saturday is another drunken night. Happy cos its fun in Oxland but then again - MQH level is dropping way down. But what the hell - we played pool and the night was too good to us.

Sunday's more relaxing given the fact that one hour was added due to DST. Though had a bit of hangover but still I was able to achieve 'Zen'. Read a book in Bondi. Enjoyed my time alone. Reflect. Silence is the best relaxing tool. But tonight, MQH chart went to an all-time low of 0.1 points. Hence I hafta get rid of it. Chucked it in the bin and its over.

On the Up-side of all the dramatic charts, I was able to get 2 business class plane fare back home. I might stay in Sing for a bit. Then right now, am planning to book some holiday plans ~ Hanoi, Bali or Kuala Lumpur. I hope I can afford at least 2 places. This should be sometime in June. I just love SingAir for the discounted miles redemption. I will not pay a cent for the fare.

Perfect way to end the weekend.
